With plenty of winter left before the warm sun of spring melts all this snow it pays to be prepared.

To help make sure you are prepared we are offering these winter driving tips.
Aside from knowing the limitations of your vehicle and making sure it is winter ready. FEMA also recommends you have an emergency kit that includes:
- a shovel
- windshield scraper and small broom
- battery powered radio
- extra batteries
- snack food
- extra hats, socks and mittens
- first aid kit with pocket knife
- necessary medications
- tow chain or rope
- road salt and sand
- booster cables
- emergency flares
- fluorescent distress flag
